How many people go through life and get to a certain age moaning they wish they had done this or that when they were younger? Very few people act on those dreams so I take my hat off to this guy. He leads a simple life but the most important thing is he's happy with zero stress. Chasing the Loch Ness monster doesn't really matter but if he finds evidence its a bonus.

Went fishing 2 days ago, fell over 4 times. When you're 68 and carrying all your tackle it's hard to get back on your feet and your wondering if anyone can see ya and laughing their head off.

I think a of of anglers like myself that fish wild out of the way waters are similar to Steve, we simply want to spend as much time as possible in close proximity to water and beautiful wild places whilst using the excuse that we are fishing. We arent really bothered with the reality of catching big fish we are more immersed in the experience.

Its hilarious that Whitehouse was pointing out that Mortimer put the teeth nuts back with the others in the bowl, peanuts on the pub bars are real biological hazards due to drunks not washing their hands after visiting the pub toilets, I bet their both into grabbing a few free nuts with a pint or two.......😊

You two have it nailed. Sit around in beautiful countryside, fish, chat and catch up... and get PAID to do it. Catching a fish is just an aside and a bonus at this point.

I'm glad you guys and the team had the pleasure to make these series...can share my humour with those not appreciative of it so at least i'm understood where i'm coming from.
